ACEO

art cards 🃏

We love making art cards! ACEO stands for “Art Cards, Editions and Originals.”  They are 2.5 x 3.5 inch mini canvases that you can make mixed media magic on. There aren’t many rules that we have found, as everyone does it a little differently. But for us we decided to make all of our cards the standard size, then laminate it with a card backer that was designed and drawn by hand that doubles as a certificate of authenticity.

Each certificate of authenticity is inked by hand with the name of the piece, serialized card number, signature of artist and date of creation. The numbering is our fun way to keep track of how many cards we have made. We hope in the future it could indicate how old the card is if we ever make it to the thousands and beyond!

Once each card is made with a certificate inked, it is scanned and uploaded to our archive to be preserved forever for viewing and to confirm card authenticity. Plus we can see all the wonderful art creations made over hopefully a long time!

Loose Digital Illustrations

If you would have ever asked me as a kid if I was an “illustrator” or ever going to be one I would have said “uhhhhhhh”. It always felt like such an odd far away and very official title. But with every completed drawing and the more I inked the…

3d Modelling / Texturing

As a long time gamer I have always played pc games with mods admiring the cool objects and reskins, wondering how it was done, until I started playing a game called Skater XL. Instantly I knew I wanted to make my own skate board. DUH! that seemed so easy and…

Projects

we love to create 🎨

To infinity and beyond all the arts and crafts, we never fail to pick up new projects to try or master them through our jack-of-all-trades  mindset. In the mere five years we been together our art has been ever present in our lives. We have dabbled in photography, graphic design/illustration, animation, 3d design, traditional art, and fiber arts etc… They are a drop in the jar of our creativity that we pour ourselves into to inspire each other everyday.

Our motto is to make it exist. That can apply to any part of the creative process. Make it exist because the act of making something with your own hands is good for you.

About us

two bugs in a pod 💕

This is us! Just two bugs making as much fun art together as possible! We both come from very different backgrounds both in life and with art but we filled in each others gaps and made the perfect team. Now we are dedicated to making art our way, everyday. As well as partnering with people like us in the queer and disabled communities to bring art and joy to people all across the spectrum regardless of barriers! We believe in making art accessible and a pillar of your life.

For us there is rarely a moment without music in our day. We think one of the best ways to get to know people is through their music taste! Here’s a playlist of all our favorite’s together for you to jam out and get our vibe from!

P.S. You can send us your fave song in the contact form below. We’d love to hear!

Our Blog

💻 web log ... huh ...

We both always wanted a blog. Isn’t it funny how life comes back around in little ways like that?? We are constantly making stuff, whether it be crocheting a bag from thrifted yarn, or hand drawing a frame by frame animation for the front page of a website. Often finding ourselves making patterns, coloring pages, or other random things that we wish we could share. Low and behold the answer was to finally start compiling all our ideas here and not be locked in to any specific category of blog, it’s extravagantly us and all our funky ideas.

Giving a home to even the smallest ideas, it stoked a flame in our imagination and gave us a desire to create more and more. We hope to share our processes, loose thoughts, crochet/fiber art patterns, random things that we made, and even guides on how to do some of the stuff we do. You’ll hear from both of us believe it!
