Skateboard Designs: Transforming Dreams into Digital Art

This is where my passion for skateboarding and digital art come together in a unique blend of creativity. I’ve always harbored a dream of designing skateboards, and it was a serendipitous encounter with the game Skater XL that made me realize I could turn that dream into a reality. Why not just make them in the game?!

From Concept to Creation

Every skateboard design in my portfolio starts as an original artwork. I use a drawing tablet in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop to bring my visions to life. These digital assets are meticulously prepared in Photoshop to ensure they are ready for the next phase of the design process.

Premium Realism in 3D

To achieve the highest level of realism and premium quality, I take my artwork into Adobe Substance Painter 3D. Here, I add weathering, texture, roughness (shine), and metallic foil accents where needed. The result? Skateboard decks that look (mostly) like premium, authentic pieces when integrated into the game.
